BrandsExclusive has taken its online portfolio to new shores, adding a new market this week.

BrandsExclusive, which is now Australia’s largest online shopping club, sells products from over 800 local and international brands and has sold over 2.5 million items since its launch in May 2009.

The site, which also currently has two million members with 80,000 more joining each month, will now expand its empire with a launch into New Zealand, adding to its elite roster of fashion and lifestyle brands with several sought-after local labels.

The launch of the online shopping club in New Zealand, will see Kiwi brands available for the first time through BrandsExclusive, and also signifies a sea-change in what is available to shoppers in New Zealand, allowing access to many brands for which New Zealanders have previously had to travel overseas or pay top dollar to ship in.

BrandsExclusive, based on online shopping club model developed in Europe, is the brainchild of co-founders and managing directors Daniel Jarosch and Rolf Weber, who share Australian-German backgrounds, and recognised the need for online supply of trustworthy and sought-after fashion brands down under.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, BrandsExclusive celebrated has its third birthday in May this year, and has grown from strength to strength in the past few months.

Most recently, BrandsExclusive has also scored a record investment, with media company APN dishing out $36 million for an 82 per cent stake in the online shopping club, vowing an additional $30 million if earnings targets are met in 2013.

APN owns regional newspapers and radio stations across Australia and New Zealand.
