Luxury Retail Group (LRG) has announced it has entered an exclusive distribution deal with British luxury fashion brand, Mulberry.

This partnership will see significant investment committed to developing the brand locally with new stores leased at Emporium, Chadstone, QVB and with further store openings under consideration.

The Emporium store is currently under construction and will open in July this year.

The 244 m2 corner site will use a brand-new flagship store design concept.

The Emporium will be among the first global stores to unveil the new store design, led by creative director Johnny Coca.

LRG MD Nelson Mair welcomed the new collaboration.

“We are incredibly excited by this new partnership and look forward to achieving strong growth results and new customer reach within the market."

The Mulberry partnership caps off a period of growth for LRG.

The luxury focused group successfully brought Furla to the Australian market growing it to a 19-store foot print in four years, with 59% growth in 2017.

The Group also manages the local retail network for Balenciaga and owns the Sneakerboy business.

As part of the deal, Mulberry will exit its existing store at Westfield Sydney.
