Australian designer brand Zeka Manfred has launched its newest collection, Season 3.1.

The launch marks an official shift in production, with orders ethically made-to-order, meaning no mass production and less waste.

Founders Anneke Bournazos and Stefanie Gidaro launched the brand in January 2018.

They said overproduction in the fashion industry is the cause behind many global problems, from wasted CO2, to excess items greatly contributing to landfill or burned.

"By crafting everything to order and on demand, we eliminate the need for excess stock, reduce waste and no longer need a giant air conditioned warehouse that drains our CO2 supplies."

The brand specialises in women's fashion, with most made-to-order styles under US$250.
