Babywear manufacturer Bloom and Grow has been forced to recall items from its Skip Hop Layette range.

The babies' bodysuits and rompers do not comply with mandatory label laws for children's nightwear products.

The fire hazard labels do not comply with the standard because they are printed in red ink instead of in black ink.

According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission claimed parents and carers may not be aware of the fire hazard and infants may be at risk of burn injury as a result.

Consumers have been urged to immediately stop using the product and contact Bloom & Grow for a replacement fire hazard label.

Traders selling the items included Amazon, Ozsale and The Stork Nest, with the products sold between July 2015 and December 2018.
