New Zealand-born brand Allbirds has welcomed two new executives to its Board.

The business has announced that founder and CEO of Glossier Emily Weiss and CFO of Elf Beauty Mandy Fields have joined Allbirds' Board of Directors.

According to Allbirds, the business will benefit from the beauty experts' knowledge of brand loyalty and consumer relationships.

Speaking on her appointment, Fields said that she welcomes the opportunity to elevate Allbirds in the market.

"I have long been impressed with Allbirds' ability to successfully balance purpose with profit and to continue this mission while driving innovation.

"It is a brand that I deeply believe in, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Allbirds' board as the brand continues to establish itself as an exemplar for a better way to do business," she said.

Fields and Weiss bring the business' Board to eight members and join Allbirds' co-founders and co-CEOs Tim Brown and Joey Zwillinger, as well as Old Navy president and CEO Nancy Green; Warby Parker CEO and co-founder Neil Blumenthal; Maveron co-founder Dan Levitan; and, Altamont Capital Partners senior advisor Dick Boyce.

Weiss added that she is thrilled to help the business develop further.

"I’ve been lucky to know the Allbirds founders for years, and have watched as they’ve created a purpose driven, environmentally minded company with truly differentiated products.

"Getting a chance to work with them more closely is a dream, and I’m excited to be a peer and partner as they evolve their brand and build a category-defining business," she said.
