Aje's collaboration collection with Sydney-based eyewear brand Local Supply has gone live across the brands' websites and Aje's 20 stores, after debuting at Aje's Resort 22 presentation in May.

The three-piece collection of eyewear complements Aje's Scent of Summer collection, and features styles 'The Catfarer,' 'The Cat Eye,' and 'The Square.'

Local Supply creates its frames sustainably and ethically using only plant-based materials, a factor that caught the attention of Aje, co-founder and creative director Edwina Forest said.

"At Aje, we purposefully seek partners who are on a sustainability journey to collaborate with, and Local Supply had been on my radar for some time, as I've watched them leading in this space.

"Collaborating with Local Supply has been an enriching creative experience, as our two design teams came together with a shared love of craftsmanship, tactile materials and fine details.

"We carefully chose shapes that embodied the 'Raw beauty, Tough femininity, Effortless cool' brand ethos, flattering the face while maintaining a stylish edge.

"It was important to me that you could add one of these pairs of sunglasses to any outfit and feel immediately pulled together.

"They are going to be on high rotation among my personal wardrobe for many summers to come," she said.

Aje worked closely with Local Supply creative director Petra Ekborn and founder Sean Satha to design the three limited edition styles, which are inspired by 60s and 70s eyewear trends.

"It was a pleasure working with the Aje team, they have amazing style, an exceptional eye for detail, and a clear vision for their brand and customer," Local Supply founder Sean Satha said.

"Designing this eyewear collection was a collaborative and genuinely enjoyable process where everything clicked into place and came together organically.

"We believe the final product embodies the Aje woman and captures the spirit of the partnership between our two brands," he said.

The Aje x Local Supply collection is available online and through the Aje retail network, with each frame retailing for $225.
