MYSALE Group has acquired OO.com.au, Deals Direct and Top Buy from the Grays E-Commerce Group for $5.2 million.
MYSALE Group is the parent company of Ozsale.com, an Australian etailer backed by Topshop executive Sir Philip Green.
The acquisition includes the three websites with 3.1 million average monthly visits.
It also includes an e-mail database of 6.5 million customer and 512,000 unique active customers.
The acquisition spans the domain names ‘OO.com.au’; ‘dealsdirect.com.au’; and ‘topbuy.com.au’ and all associated customer databases, intellectual property, trademarks and goodwill.
MySale Group CEO Carl Jackson said this is an important acquisition for the company.
"Strategically this is a great opportunity to substantially grow our active unique customer base in Australia and fits with our strategy of widening our online proposition to leverage our existing assets (being OZSALE and Buy Invite).
"The sites being acquired are all well-recognised brands in their own right, with a female weighted customer base.
"There is very little overlap with our existing member base so there is also a good opportunity to cross sell our core fashion offering.
"With over 6.5 million members and 512,000 unique active customers this allows the Mysale Group to substantially increase the size of our active base in Australia.
"It also gives us the opportunity to expand our already successful homewares category and leverage their excellent supplier relationships."
MySale expects to exchange contracts with the Vendor on or around November 30, following approval of the transaction by the Vendor’s shareholders.
It expects to complete the acquisition on the 31 January 2016.
