Cotton On Group’s philanthropic arm, The Cotton On Foundation, distributed over 26,000 food packs as part of its COVID-19 response plans in Uganda, Thailand and South Africa, the business has revealed to Ragtrader.
Cotton On Foundation’s food pack distribution complemented the organisation’s partnership with UNICEF to support the delivery of one million COVID vaccines to 90 countries across the globe.
"We reached out to UNICEF, who have a long and proud history of vaccinating children around the world, and we were delighted to find out that they are very similar organisation to our own – driven by purpose and passion," Cotton On Group CEO Peter Johnson told Ragtrader.
"They were quick to respond and jump onto this partnership to help not only raise the million vaccinations but also to get the message out to the world that this pandemic won't be over until it's over for everyone," he said.
Customers were able to support the Cotton On Group x UNICEF partnership through the purchase of Cotton On Foundation products in-store or online, or donate across Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Rubi, Cotton On Kids, Factorie or Typo stores.
The UNICEF fundraising campaign began on May 20 and finished on July 04 2021.
The Cotton On Foundation has raised $12.5 million globally for its global education and healthcare programs.
