10,500 students and teachers returned to Cotton On Foundation-supported schools in Uganda this month, after two years of remote learning.
In preparation for the return to the classroom, The Cotton On Foundation's Uganda team reinvigorated the educational spaces, equipping them with learning tools, resources and kits.
In addition to getting the classroom ready, the team engaged the local community by driving around in a decorated truck, spreading the word and sharing information about the return to school.
"We are proud to see children return and be able to reconnect, rediscover and continue their quality education journey face to face," Cotton On Group said in a statement.
"This is an incredible achievement for everyone.
"From customers, global team members, team on the ground in Uganda and everyone in between that makes this Good happen," the business said.
According to The Cotton On Foundation's 2021 Field Report, the organisation supported 13,659 students and 439 teachers at 24 Cotton On Foundation-supported schools across Uganda, Thailand and South Africa last year.
In 2021, the organisation saw 54 scholarship students in Uganda and Thailand graduate.
