PERTH: An exhibition by renowned celebrity photographer Douglas Kirkland is among the events that will mark the forthcoming completion of the Wesley Quarter shopping precinct redevelopment.
The $150 million redevelopment in Perth's CBD brings together the iconic Wesley Church, Wesley Tower and the Queens building into one luxury shopping destination. Brands available will include Emporio Armani, Burberry, Jan Logan, Karen Millen and Paul and Joe.
To celebrate the launch, Wesley Quarter will host Kirkland's exhibition entitled 'Fabulous People with Fabulous Lives'. The exhibition will run from October 28 - November 29 and will showcase 20 photographs of some of the world's leading fashion stars. Past subjects of Kirkland's work include Coco Chanel, Elizabeth Taylor, Nicole Kidman and Dita von Teese.
Also on offer to Wesley Quarter visitors during the reopening will be free fashion style sessions and the chance to win a limited edition Douglas Kirkland print of Audrey Hepburn.
Chief Executive Officer of Mirvac WA, Evan Campbell, said he was "thrilled" to be able to launch Wesley Quarter in association with Kirkland, and to offer Perth residents and visitors "a world-class fashion experience and a new, leading precinct for luxury brands."
