The next step
Ragtrader magazine dissects the recently opened Maubourg boutique in Sydney’s Paddington district.
Online fashion retailer Maubourg has just opened its flagship boutique in William Street. How does a quirky e-operator convey its message using bricks and mortar?
Owner Mary Perry enlisted the help of interior specialist Lister + Co to transform a residential space into a bustling fashion boutique.
The company went for a strong use of black and white stripes with yellow contrasting to provide the most polished result possible.
Glossy timber floor boards ground the interior, which measures at 60 square metres. Perry extended her penchant for French-style details with French furnishings, twin French ornate chairs and gilded mirror.
The store stocks Australian labels such as Joveeba, Amar, Nookie, Karina, Michael Lo Sordo and Karina Pires.
