PERTH: A group of emerging fashion designers have been sponsored to exhibit at trade fair Fashion Exposed.
Three industry organisations have partnered with event organiser Australian Exhibitions and Conferences to fund the campaign. These include The Textile, Clothing and Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia (TCFWA), TCF Australia and fashion incubator designedge.
Six emerging designers from across the country will be given the opportunity to sell their wares at a special TCF Australia Showcase at Fashion Exposed, which will run from February 14 to 16 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre.
Womenswear designer Jacinta Catherine was selected from Victoria, along with ethical childrenswear brand eco peko from Western Australia and vintage-inspired East of Grey from Queensland. Streewear brand Enviart, lifestyle label Wrapture and Juju Imports were picked from across New South Wales.
TCF Australia will include a display from Australian Indigenous designers as part of its showcase, in addition to ethical products from Afghanistan, Mauritius and Philippines.
