AUCKLAND: New Zealand power brands Zambesi, Trelise Cooper, Annah Stretton and Kate Sylvester are hoping to lure consumers to the inaugural Auckland Fashion Festival (AFF) next month.
The four brands were part of a publicity drive from AFF today, as it officially released tickets to the opening runway show on March 16.
Adrian Hailwood, Barkers, Cybele, Huffer, Juliette Hogan, Stolen Girlfriends and Andrea Moore are also set to take part in the consumer fashion event. Meanwhile, streetwear brand Ed Hardy is expected to be the only international brand to mount the runway.
Some 700 tickets have been released for the opening showcase with pricing at $45 per guest. Consumers will be offered a flute of Pelorus NV by Cloudy Bay on arrival, before taking in a autumn/winter 2010 collection parade to live music.
The first instalment of AFF will feature one major showcase and a fashion sale event - 'The New Zealand Herald Designer Garage Sale' - offering goods from around 40 designers.
New Zealand Fashion Week founder and AFF head Pieter Stewart said future editions will include a full schedule of shows and events around the city, similar to the annual L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Tickets will be sold through www.iticket.co.nz.
