NATIONAL: Saba hopes to tap a gap in the eyewear market with the launch this month of its first ever sunglasses range.
While the men's and womenswear retailer has previously stocked eyewear by other labels, the new collection marks the first time Saba has developed sunglasses under its own brand.
The debut collection includes two styles and five colours for men, and five styles and 14 colours for women. The range will be stocked in ten of Saba's 27 national boutiques.
Saba marketing manager Monica Hart said the collection was designed to offer customers a broader product offering.
"We felt that there was a gap in the market for fashionable handmade sunglasses at an affordable price point. We have a really tight collection that focuses on the key looks for the season for each gender. This expansion offers our customer complete outfitting options at SABA," she said.
Made from acetate and with a resin lens, the collection will retail for $169.95.
