NATIONAL: Plus-size lingerie label Curvy Kate has secured an Australian distributor and is poised to enter the market.
Intimate apparel specialist KAS Distribution will import and distribute the UK label. The new offering adds to KAS's existing portfolio of larger cup brands including Ballet Lingerie and Pour Moi? Lingerie.
Curvy Kate was launched in the UK earlier this year in response to the delay that major lingerie labels were exhibiting in meeting consumer demand for better fitting and larger sized bras.
Curvy Kate produces lingerie in cup sizes DD - J and back sizes 28 - 40 (equivalent to Australian sizes six - 18) and the collection features six different styles.
Head of KAS Distribution, Kirrily Schimana, said, "We're thrilled to be working with Curvy Kate as the brand will fill a huge gap in the Australian market... The range is fantastic and I am very excited about showing it to our customers."
Curvy Kate will retail in Australia from $79.95.
The label is also distributed through international mail order company Simply Yours.
