MELBOURNE: The Australian licensee of Guess by Marciano and Aldo footwear has clinched a new accessory deal.
Busbrand has secured the rights to add luxury brand Tumi to its portfolio, with plans to open a number of branded Tumi retail stores in Australia. The first store opening is planned for early 2010.
It is the first luxury acquisition for Busbrand, which currently operates 53 retail stores nationally under the Guess, Aldo and Travelite licences. Busbrand managing director Simon Nankervis said it was a "great honour" to be able to represent Tumi in Australia.
"As a luxury brand Tumi represents everything that the quintessential business person needs," he said.
Founded in 1975, Tumi produces a range of travel, business and lifestyle product, including leather bags, wallets and belts.
