MELBOURNE: The Australian distributor of Otazu jewellery is set to capitalise on the brand's exposure in the new Sex and the City 2 film.
Wholesale operator Liberta Jewel will show the designer brand at Fashion Exposed trade fair in Melbourne in August, in order to increase its stockist reach.
Director Jane Cox secured the rights to distribute the label in mid-2009. It currently has eight collections, including one range featuring styles worn by actress Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie in the recent Sex and the City 2 movie. Many pieces feature Swarovski crystals and coloured stones.
The brand is designed by New York-based jeweller Rodrigo Otazu, with the company's head office based in Amsterdam.
Retail prices for the range span from $100 to around $2500 for an elaborate piece.
Fashion Exposed will be held from August 29 to 31 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. It will be run in conjunction will The Australian Shoe Fair and the Bags & Accessories Fair.
