SYDNEY: Oroton Group has announced its intent to upgrade more stores in the year ahead and boost its online social networking operations.
In its annual report to shareholders, the company said it had refurbished ten stores across the Oroton and Polo Ralph Lauren brands in the 2008/09 financial year and would roll out improvements on more locations.
It stated that the refurbishment programme was critical in order to elevate consumer's experience of the brand and ensure its stores are world class.
Increasing its presence on social networking site Facebook was a primary goal for the year ahead, as was branching into other media channels such as mobile phone applications. The report also emphasised the company's determination to invest in its online retailing offer.
The company opened nine new Oroton stores in the last financial year and two new Polo Ralph Lauren stores - one in Chatswood, Sydney and one in Doncaster, Melbourne.
It also opened a new factory outlet in Cairns, Queensland and upgraded a number of department store concessions.
