BANGALOW: Thieves with designer taste have raided a coastal town boutique, stealing over $180,000 worth of apparel.
International brands including TRBD, Citizen Jeans, Gypsy 05, Replay and Fwy were in the haul, with jeans, shorts and jackets among the pieces stolen.
NSW police are appealing for information on the incident, which occurred between 6.30 pm on Thursday December 3 and 7am the following morning at a store in Byron Street, Bangalow, near Byron Bay.
The thieves gained access to the store by cutting a security mesh window at the rear of the property.
Inspector Shane Diehm from Tweed-Byron Local Area Command said local detectives had collected evidence to identify the perpetrators.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who is offered clothing at a discount rate," Inspector Diehm said. "If it sounds too good to be true, it always most certainly is."
