SYDNEY: Noni B has reported an increase in net profit after tax of 43.4 per cent for the six months to December 27, 2009.
It profited $3.6 million for the period, compared with $2.5 million in the first half of 2009.
The company's sales were in line with the previous six months at $62.5 million. Sales for the Noni B women's stores, (excluding La Voca) were up 3.1 per cent, with comparative store sales increased by 1.6 per cent.
Cash flow for the group was reported as strong, with debt repaid during the period.
Joint managing director David Kindl said he was pleased that action taken towards increasing margins and reducing operating costs had resulted in higher earnings.
He said the group's Western Australian stores had recorded the strongest comparative sales growth. Store numbers for the group increased by two to 216 in the period. Labels inlcude Noni B and Liz Jordan and it formerly owned La Voca.
