SYDNEY: Womenswear label Morrison will continue to capitalise on the festive season, with a new line set to take centre stage at its Strand Arcade store opening next week.

Launched for the first time across Morrison boutiques last month, the Natale range was created specifically for the holiday season with raw edged silk dresses, light cotton sleeve scarves and linen tops aimed at creating day-to-evening wear options.

Morrison co-founder Richard Poulson said the collection was comprised of approximately a dozen silhouettes including camisoles, shorts, skirts and blouses. Prices range from $79 for camisoles to $450 for a light weight silk garment with frill detailing.

"Natale is grounded mainly in dresses and party-separates that suit the purpose of the warm and relaxed holiday period in Australia - from casual cocktails at a bar through to a chic barbecue," Poulson said.

This follows on from the success of Morrison's first 'event based' capsule collection earlier this year, targeted at the spring racing season. The company has just refurbished and reopened its flagship store in Perth's Freemantle district and will open at new boutique at Sydney's Strand Arcade on December 15.

Founders Richard Poulson and Kylie Radford joined the likes of Sass & Bide and Ksubi in featuring on BRW's 2009 Young Rich List.
