The ready-to-wear collection will include a capsule menswear component; with a tailored jacket ($799), long business shirt ($289) and tailored trousers ($349) on offer. In addition to this, up to 10 unisex items such as harem pants, tees and draped cardigans will retail from $90 to $389.
The collection is an ode to Sosume's emphasis on luxurious, ethical fabrics with organic wool, cotton, tencel and a micro modal and interlocked wool blend all featured throughout the men's and women's offering.
Key items include a hooded black gossamer knit, a tailored cropped blazer and a long-line vest made from black organic wool. The palette for autumn/winter is minimalist with black, white and shades of grey.
Sosume is a collaborative effort between four young designers across Australia and the United States, with Melbourne-based Alex Trimmer helming the brand as managing director. Sosume made a soft launch into the market earlier this year, with an edited spring collection for 2009.
Stockists for the brand include Tuchuzy (Sydney), Adrenalin (QLD), Dakota 501 (VIC) as well as select independents across the US, UK, New Zealand and Japan.
