MELBOURNE: Ten emerging designers will receive a shot in the arm when the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) kicks off next month.
Renee Bock, Shagun Maheshwari, Tia Carrigan, Melissa Mahony, Cheryl Lee, Melina Hollway, Maja Karlsen Mueller, Michelle Czech, Alexis Belcher and Oliver Wilkinson have been selected to take part in a special exhibition at the consumer fashion festival.
The Spirit of the Black Dress exhibition aims to celebrate Australia's budding designers as well as promote a sense of community and networking between them.
Submissions for the exhibition, which is part of the LMFF Cultural Program, closed earlier this month with judges Joe Saba and fashion journalist Janice Breen Burns judging the entries.
The winning designs will be showcased at Georges on Collins shopping arcade from Friday March 12 and will be free to the public.
Stay tuned for more details on the ten talented designers.
