MELBOURNE: A replacement has not yet been announced for outgoing CEO of Country Road Ian Moir, who leaves his post in December.

At the company's annual general meeting yesterday chairman Simon Susman said a search for a suitable replacement is underway. If no appointment is made prior to Moir's departure, Mr Glenn Gilzean will take on the position on an interim basis.

Moir is leaving to join Woolworths in South Africa, Country Road's parent company, as CEO designate in the new year.

The company reiterated its strong sales results for the 2008/09 financial year, which were up 18.4 per cent on the previous year.

It announced that new store openings are planned, with four new Country Road stores and five new expansions of existing stores in the next financial year. The new Trenery label will see a sixth store open in November.
