NATIONAL: Australian designers and retailers will have a chance to build relations with Indian textile manufacturers and exporters at a trade event in November.

Brand India Trade Fair will be held in Melbourne and Sydney. It will feature Indian textiles as well as finished products including fashion garments and home interiors. Buyers can place orders for fabrics or completed, customised garments.

Two educational seminars on trading with India and establishing mutually beneficial business relationships will be held in both locations.

Indian companies scheduled to take part include Alok Industries, Vijayeshwari Textiles, Premier Finelinen, Morarjee Textiles and Dicitex Decor Exports.

Organisers behind the event include the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India (TEXPROCIL) sponsored by the Government of India.

The inaugural event will take place in Melbourne on November 12-13 at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and in Sydney on November 16-17 at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.
