MELBOURNE: The hunt for Ian Moir's replacement has not yet borne fruit, with Country Road announcing the appointment of an interim CEO while its search continues.
The retailer revealed its current executive director and group general manger of retail operations, Glenn Gilzean, will take on the position of acting CEO when Moir leaves his post on December 31. Gilzean will retain the position until a permanent replacement for Moir is found.
The hunt for Moir's replacement has been under way since his resignation from Country Road in August 2009. Moir leaves the men's, women's and kidswear retailer to join its majority shareholder company, Woolworths Holdings Limited, in South Africa. He will remain on the board of Country Road as a non-executive director.
