NATIONAL: Hugo Boss will build on its tradition of sporting sponsorship as official outfitters for the Socceroos for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The label will supply formalwear from its signature line, BOSS Black, to players, coaching staff and senior management of Australia's soccer team for all their official tournament engagements.
Custom designed ties will complement the label's slim fitting suits and shirts.
The new partnership adds to Hugo Boss's history of various sponsorship activities across motor sports, golf, tennis and sailing. A company spokesperson added that the essence of professional sport matched well with the brand's core values, namely "a sense of spirit, international flair and a drive for success".
Hugo Boss Australia's managing director Haydn McLean said, "The Qantas Socceroos embody national pride and unity on an international stage. We are very proud to support the team in their bid for next year's World Cup."
