NATIONAL: Diva will roll out a raft of stores at international airports as part of its aggressive advance into the global accessories market.

The fast fashion jewellery chain has revealed it will partner with a travel retail specialist to open "several" airport stores within Asia. BB Retail Capital CEO, Brett Blundy, confirmed a new store was planned for Singapore airport and would add to the dozen airport sites the brand currently operates in other regions.

"We already operate in Singapore but the airport arrangement is a separate strategy. We are targeting all airports around the world at this moment," said Blundy.

Future target locations include Heathrow, London and Hong Kong International Airport, said Blundy. He confirmed Diva was currently on the hunt for an executive to head up its expanding airport division.

The focus on travel retail is part of Blundy's desire to build on Diva's foothold in the Australian and New Zealand markets, wherein the brand currently operates 180 stores.

"We are a total global company now and we're focusing much more on our global expansion," said Blundy.

"The absolute focus and everything we're doing now - our employment practices, our branding, our shop fits - they're all global in focus."

BB Retail Capital is an investment group and the parent company of multiple retail chains, including Diva and Bras n Things.
