MELBOURNE: A potential buyer for collapsed wholesaler Mercury Brands, which was placed in receivership last week, could emerge today.
Mercury Brands Group receivers Ian Carson and Craig Crosby launched an "urgent" campaign to sell the company last Wednesday, with expressions of interest scheduled to close on September 29.
The group was advertised as having 20 apparel brands including No Fear, Rochford and French Kitty and an annual turnover of $28 million.
Parent company Mercury Brands Limited, which placed Mercury Brands Group into voluntary administration after a failed investment deal last week, has had its shares suspended from trade.
