NATIONAL: Womenswear labels Alice McCall, Tigerlily and Bec and Bridge have scored a marketing coup in the lead up to 2010.

Youth consumer magazine Cleo has invited all three brands to collaborate on a series of issues for the new year. Cleo editor Sarah Oakes said the venture was inspired by high street fashion collaborations such as Stella McCartney for Target to Kate Moss for Topshop.

Young womenswear designer Alice McCall has already kicked off the series, styling a major fashion spread in Cleo's January issue and contributing to its fashion, beauty and editorial pages. This included selecting a set of patterns, colours and fonts to be featured throughout the entire magazine.

Tigerlily's Jodhi Meares and Amelia Stanley will take the creative reigns of Cleo's February edition while Bec & Bridge founders Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston will man the final collaboration in March.

Alice McCall for Cleo will hit newstands today (December 14).
