MELBOURNE: Young designers can now take part in L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) via the aid of a little black dress.
The Spirit of the Black Dress exhibition aims to celebrate Australia's budding designers as well as promote a sense of community and networking between them. Submissions for the exhibition, which is part of the LMFF Cultural Program, are now being accepted. Up to ten winning designs will be showcased during the event, alongside photographs of the successful designs.
Confirmed judges for The Spirit of the Black Dress include Joe Saba and fashion editor for The Age, Janice Breen Burns. The creative team behind the photographic exhibition includes photographer Amber Tom and established Melbourne stylist Jordan Moore.
The deadline for submissions is February 12. The exhibition, now in its second year, will be held in Georges on Collins shopping arcade from Friday March 12 and will be free to the public.
