Department store Myer is set to reshuffle its middle to upper market footwear offering.
The company has acquired shoe brand Urban Soul and will soon release its latest range of leather shoes, priced from $150 to $250. Myer has also just introduced Innovare to its portfolio, a brand which manufactures its products in Italy and features leather lining and soles.
Since the appointment of Joanne Mercer to its footwear department last year, Myer has restructured its buying team, visual merchandising strategies and product design and development.
“We have a very strong presence in the moderate end of the market – we have now commenced work to re-establish the mid to better end of the market,” Mercer said.
