MELBOURNE: Womenswear retailer Bardot is testing the waters of children's retail with Bardot Junior.
It opened its first Bardot Junior store in Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne last month and has its sights set on Parramatta in NSW, with a store opening expected in November.
A representative for the brand said details for further retail expansion were still being fleshed out. Bardot Junior caters for sizes 000 to size 14.
The fashion forward brand has also ventured into clothing for young boys with Beau by Bardot Junior, for boys aged zero to two years old. The line lauched through selected Myer stores late last month.
Bardot was founded in 1996 by designer Carol Skoufis in Melbourne. There are now approximately 35 stores nationally as well as international wholesale accounts and an online store.
