Australian footwear retailer The Athlete's Foot has partnered up with the McGrath Foundation to launch the 'We Give a Fit About Breasts' campaign.

The partnership, now in it's second year running, sees The Athlete's Foot donate $5 from every pair of women's running shoes sold between August 20 to September 02 to the McGrath Foundation.

As part of the campaign The Athlete's Foot stores across the country have turned pink to raise awareness for the cause.

In 2018, The Athlete's Foot raised $75,000 for the McGrath Foundation.

The Athlete’s Foot head of marketing Deena Colman said that the partnership aligns perfectly with the business' values.

"Our partnership with the McGrath Foundation goes hand in hand with our company values of supporting overall well-being and health and we’re excited to see the positive responses from our customers while supporting the McGrath Foundation.

"We encourage women all across the country to get on board, grab a pair of women’s running shoes and put their best foot forward for this very worthy cause," she said.

McGrath Foundation ambassador and director Tracy Bevan said that the support from partners such as The Althete's Foot goes towards funding much-needed McGrath Breast Care Nurses.

"The work of the McGrath Foundation is made possible thanks to the support of corporate partners such as The Athlete’s Foot.

"Each year we are blown away by the contributions of our partners and we are honoured to once again work alongside The Athlete’s Foot to raise much needed funds and awareness.

"A breast cancer diagnosis changes your life, often in ways you wouldn’t expect. There are currently 135 McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia, but we know we need to fund 120 more to ensure every family has access to this vital service," she said.
