Footwear label Twoobs is set to give away 500 pairs of shoes to people who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19.

The business - run by How Two Live sisters Jess and Stef Dadon - launched the initiative on March 31 in order to bring some positivity to the community during a difficult time.

"Twoobs is a brand that’s built on our values and the things that we care about, and our community needs us more than ever right now to spread positivity and uplift them," the sisters said.

"Through the gift of a pair of shoes we are reminding those who’ve lost their jobs that they’re not alone, that there is so much good and kindness in the world right now that they can lean into, and giving them something to smile about in these tough times."

Fans can nominate themselves or someone else to receive the free pair via the Twoobs website. The system will rely on kindness and honesty and won't ask nominees to provide any direct proof of job loss.

"Being able to nominate someone is a way for people to show loved ones that they're in their thoughts," the Dadons said.
