Australian boot label R.M. Williams has partnered with Global Citizen to support its mission to end world poverty by 2030.

Announced on the day of the Global Citizen Festival on September 28 in New York, the partnership sees Global Citizen's Australian founder Hugh Evans join the R.M. Williams Undeniable Character campaign.

The partnership will see 10% of all sales from the US online and bricks-and-mortar stores donated to the cause from September 28 to October 13, 2019.

The funding will help Global Citizen's engaged community use their collective voice to end extreme poverty.

On its platform, Global Citizens learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, act on those issues, and earn rewards for their actions — as part of a global community committed to lasting change.

R.M. Williams global ambassador Hugh Jackman said that the Global Citizen cause is one that he has been involved with for a long time.

"I’ve been fortunate enough to know Hugh Evans and be a part of the Global Citizen movement for quite a while now and it’s a cause that’s so close to my heart, so I was thrilled to be able to be able to bring R.M.Williams and Global Citizens together to support in ending global poverty.

"As Australians we all share that spirit of mateship and camaraderie, and bringing together the Undeniable Character of R.M. Williams with the Undeniable Character of Hugh Evans and his team is the perfect example of how mates can come together to do some good in the world," he said.

Evans said that the partnership with R.M. Williams will help to further the Global Citizen cause.

"As we continue to build our movement around the world, partners who live up to our values are so important.

"Hugh Jackman has been an incredible partner to Global Citizen since our beginning and we’re excited to be working with R.M. Williams to help further our mission of ending extreme poverty by 2030," he said.
