Close× Zimmermann rolls out 17 May 2013 Comments Comments Womenswear brand Zimmermann has revealed the challenges of international expansion, as it looks set to open its second New York store this year.Zimmermann will open its biggest international store in September, when it launches a site just moments from its current Soho store.The opening is scheduled to coincide with a show at New York Fashion Week.Speaking at luxury summit Bespoke yesterday, Nicky Zimmermann revealed the logistical challenges of operating from Australia.Zimmermann now travels to the market five times a year to oversee operations, which also include a store in LA.The travel means spending greater time away from the brand's local base in Sydney. She said the brand has also long struggled with seasonality issues, but now believes new product should launch across markets at the same time.Zimmermann's new store is three times the site of its current store, and comes after a recent capsule collaboration with etail giant Net-A-Porter.
