Australian designer label Zimmermann has relocated its Sydney CBD store to another part of the Westfield Sydney centre.

The move comes 25 years after Zimmermann first opened a store in Sydney.

Zimmermann’s new store is located on Level 4 of the Westfield Sydney complex, surrounded by the likes of Aje, Wolford, Aimer and Georg Jensen. The new store is double the footprint of the last store, now at 357 square metres.

“Sydney is our home, so it’s incredibly exciting to unveil our new CBD boutique to our loyal clients,” co-founder and creative director Nicky Zimmermann said. “It’s a completely fresh expression of our brand that feels distinctly Zimmermann.

“It has been a project we have been keen to pursue for some time – the opportunity to bring a new and unique space for our brand to Sydney. It’s really unlike any boutique we’ve ever opened and it’s so great to see it come to life. The mix of art, materiality, and light creates an incredibly immersive experience that I think our clients will really appreciate.”

The new store was designed in collaboration with Studio McQualter, an design firm that has built and revamped many of Zimmermann’s stores over the years.

A rough-cast cement render forms the front facade, with custom ceramic tiles and aged copper accents. An artwork by Fabian Brown Japaljarri, a Waramungu and Walpiri man born in Alice Springs, features near the entry.

The store’s interior includes Italian green custom terrazza flooring and high-gloss white walls, with the store separated into three retail spaces, all housing the brand’s ready-to-wear ranges, accessories and an appointment room.

The Sydney relocation adds to over 90 stores globally for Zimmermann. In FY25, the label doubled its global sales to $645.7 million.
