Australian luxury brand Zimmermann has appointed Roberto Eggs as its new CEO.
Eggs replaces long-time CEO Chris Olliver, coming over from Moncler Group where he held various c-suite roles for nearly 11 years. Prior to Moncler, he was the president of Louis Vuitton’s Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa markets, and the chairman and CEO of Nestle.
He is currently a member of the board of directors of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and has been part of Zimmermann’s board for over a year.
Founded in 1991 by Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, the Australian fashion label is currently majority owned by Advent International following an acquisition that values the brand at $1.75 billion.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Eggs said he will start his new role at Zimmermann on May 1. He added that the Australian fashion label is a rare brand, “combining creative integrity with strong global momentum and a truly distinctive point of view.”
“It is also a brand I have long admired,” he said. “I would like to thank Nicky and Simone for their trust, and Chris for his leadership in building such a remarkable company
“I look forward to working closely with the teams to continue shaping the next chapter of Zimmermann's international development, building on its unique identity and global potential.”
Olliver has led the Zimmermann brand since 2005 and has helped scale the brand into a global business. With Eggs’ appointment, Olliver will transition into the role of executive chairman.
