Australian footwear and menswear brand Aquila has set up shop in Sydney's Chifley Plaza.
The opening is part of the label's national expansion strategy and marks the second standalone store to launch this year.
Aquila currently owns and operates around 27 standalone stores across the country and concessions in Myer stores.
Aquila managing director Luke Longo said that plans to expand are to keep up with his grandfather's legacy.
“As part of our national expansion strategy we are pleased to open our latest menswear store in Chifley Plaza this week.
“Located in the heart of Sydney’s business district and sitting alongside a variety of premium Australian and international retailers, the 80sqm store will cater to our growing number of professional customers with the full range of tailored suiting and menswear to complement our finely-crafted footwear collection.”
The company is currently being spearheaded by Longo, his two siblings and three cousins.
Aquila are also reporting further openings of standalone stores and department store concessions later this year.
The brand was founded in 1958 in Melbourne.
