The Woolmark Company has put out a call for companies involved in the wool production pipeline, as it gears to launch a new, global resource for the industry.

Companies involved in the wool production pipeline are being invited to promote their wool-rich products in a new, free-of-charge initiative created by The Woolmark Company.

According to The Woolmark Company, the 'Looking For Wool' sourcing guide is an online directory which will enable businesses to source wool and wool-rich products for both the apparel and interiors sector.

As the owner of the world’s best-known textile fibre brand and the global authority on Merino wool, The Woolmark Company plans to launch the Looking For Wool sourcing guide in September and is encouraging companies to take part.

Commenting on the imminent launch, The Woolmark Company’s general manager product development and commercialisation Jimmy Jackson said the sourcing guide will provide a unique opportunity for companies to promote their products and services.

“The guide will provide one central location for buyers to source all types of wool-related products, including raw wool, tops, yarns and fabrics. It enables global companies – suppliers and manufacturers - to easily and freely promote their products,” he said.

“The Looking For Wool sourcing guide is scheduled to launch in September, in-line with the 2014/2015 buying cycle, which will give participating companies maximum exposure to retailers and brands looking to purchase products for the upcoming season.”

Company registration is free and is open to any company producing a product containing more than 50 per cent wool content. Those which register are responsible for entering their company’s information and can enter as little or as many details as they wish.
