Footwear chain Wittner has claimed an Australian-first, using a 3D holographic model as part of its in-store marketing.

The holographic model, wearing skimpy underwear and modelling the latest Wittner's designs, appeared in store windows in Melbourne as part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.

The 3D holographic model will come to Wittner in Sydney in mid-October.

The "live” holographic model will move around the store wearing Wittner's spring shoe line and modelling different outfits.

The 3D image will then “disappear into starbursts” before reappearing.

The 'Everything White' campaign uses cinema cameras and projectors to create a 3D effect that people can see without the need of 3D glasses.

Tony Paladino, Wittner e-commerce and marketing manager said: “Our customers are always searching for the next big trend or innovation, with the launch of our 3D model...this is set to happen.”

The holographic models have been created by Activate Media + Events.

Wittner Shoes was established in 1912 and celebrated its 100th Year milestone in 2012.
