A winter-style global collaboration capsule between Puma and Parisian fashion house AMI is being sold across Australia through Puma online and in-store, as well as select retailers. It marks the pair’s second collaboration together.

The global launch, which began exclusively through AMI stores and online on December 8, shares 20 different styles across both men’s and womenswear. This includes hoodies, sweatpants, fleece jackets with patch pockets, and down jackets, alongside AMI’s carrot trousers, straight-line brushed coats and tees. A selection of the range will be sold in Australia.

The capsule also includes shoes, such as a Rider sneaker that heroes a 1970’s style, along with accessories such as a puffy backpack, a cross-body bag, bucket hats, black-and-white striped beanies and a scarf.

It incorporates a palette of orange, light blue, pink, moss green and purple, offset by beige, cream and brown tones.

The Puma x AMI logo, which is a blend between AMI’s signature AMI de Coeur symbol the Puma stamp, is featured across a range of pieces in the collection.

AMI founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi said the collection mixes Puma’s sportswear style with AMI’s tailoring experience.

“The goal was a playful, colourful collection, rich in volume and in extravagant details,” Mattiussi said. “It is a new chapter on the story we began developing during our last collaboration.”

Puma global creative director Heiko Desens said the two brands have been on a journey from wardrobe essentials to “cocoon-like pieces.”

“This season, it is all about softness, oversized volumes, layering and draping with outdoors and hiking-inspired elements, which creates a certain sense of chic, but also a feel-good sensation,” Desens said.

Alongside the global launch was a campaign fronted by singer-songwriter GIVĒON and model and activist Quannah Chasinghorse.

“They both embody a new generation, one that is friendly, cool and carefree,” Mattiussi said.
