Global sporting goods brand Wilson has just opened its fourth Australian retail store, and its largest store in the country to date.
The new store is located on the ground floor of Chadstone, a shopping centre south-east of Melbourne CBD, and adds to stores at Doncaster and Emporium Melbourne, as well as Burnside Village in Adelaide.
According to the brand, securing a location within one of Australia’s leading premium retail destinations reflects Wilson’s commitment to Melbourne and Australia.
The store offers a complete brand experience across performance equipment, sportswear, footwear and accessories. The store also offers expert racquet advice and on-site stringing services, catering to players of all levels.
A key design feature of the store is the custom ceiling installation positioned above the tennis racquet display. It is inspired by the distinct curves of the stadium seating at Melbourne Park.
“We are proud to have created an experience that brings the very best of Wilson to life,” Wilson head of retail Alex Morgan said.
“Opening at Chadstone marks an exciting milestone for Wilson in Australia. As our largest store in the country to date, it allows us to showcase the innovation, performance and style that define Wilson both on and off the court.
“The enthusiasm we have seen from Melbourne’s tennis and sporting communities has been incredible, and we are excited to continue investing in our Australian retail presence.”
To mark the opening, Wilson offered the first 150 visitors through the doors a custom gift bag on opening day over the weekend. They also went in the running to win one of three racquets signed by Wilson athletes Aryna Sabalenka, Alex de Minaur and Amanda Anisimova.
Customers who spent $150 or more in-store were also allowed to take on the ‘Win With Wilson Wall’ for the chance to receive exclusive Wilson prizes.
Meanwhile, those who spent $250 or more unlocked the ‘FinerRings Sparked Experience’, an exclusive in-store activation available on opening day only.
