Uniqlo has revealed a new partnership set to land in Australia on July 29.
The retailer has collaborated with television series Sesame Street and New York artist KAWS to launch its KAWS x Sesame Street collection.
The new collection has been developed to showcase KAWS take on characters from the iconic series as part of the brand's UT range.
The UT range was developed to feature pop culture graphics from around the world and has previously featured Marvel, Disney and Lego as featured partners since the project's inception.
In a statement, Uniqlo said the partnership was an opportunity to work with another renowned artist and expand its offering and ranging to a new target market.
“KAWS engages audiences far beyond the museums and galleries in which he regularly exhibits.
“He initiated the idea of this special collection, which features graphics of such iconic Sesame Street characters as Big Bird, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.
“The UT range features carefully selected examples of celebrated pop culture graphics from around the world, transforming t-shirts into canvases of art.”
The collection represents the second time the brand has partnered with KAWS after its first partnership as part of the spring/summer 2016 UT line.
