Social Pulse has released its Australian Facebook Performance Report for June 2013.
The social media measurement tool, operated by Online Circle Digital, has produced a report covering the four weeks from May 13 to June 10, 2013.
Fashion retail ranked fourth in the Top 20 Industries by Fans categories, with 5.7 million fans, after TV programs, snackfoods and airlines, travel and tourism pages.
Department and online stores ranked eleventh, with 2.5 million fans.
Underwear brand Bonds took the lead with 839,484 fans, followed by Lorna Jane, Supre, Black Milk Clothing, The Iconic, City Beach, Princess Polly and Tony Bianco.
The top post by likes went to City Beach, with an image reading 'Do Not Read The Next Sentence' in capitals followed by 'you little rebel I like you' in small lettering.
The top post by comments went to Supre, which garnered over 3,300 comments for an image which asked followers to highlight an emoticon and cut and paste it into the comments section.
The top post by shares went to Lorna Jane, which posted an inspirational image with the comment 'It's All about Perspective! Happy Friday xx'. The post was shared 1,112 times.
The mathematical and statistical foundations of the report were produced by Online Circle in consultation with 95th Percentile Pty Ltd.
