Westfield has commenced redevelopment of its Fountain Gate shopping centre, creating room for Myer and 122 new specialty retailers.
The shopping centre behemoth revealed the $320 million redevelopment will add a further 34,600 square metres to the existing shopping centre. Anchoring the new two level development will be department store Myer, while Target will also undergo an expansion.
Westfield Retail Trust managing director Domenic Panaccio said the redevelopment would “greatly enhance” Fountain Gate's existing retail offer. Fashion brands already available at Fountain Gate include Cotton On, Portmans, Noni B, Connor, Bras N Things, Glassons and Edge Clothing.
Westfield Fountain Gate is located 40 kilometres south-east of Melbourne's CBD and the centre's redevelopment is due for completion in late 2012.
