Scentre Group have taken a new trio of Australian designers under their wing.

The owners and operators of Westfield Australia have announced Ellery, Bec & Bridge and Ginger & Smart as the line-up for its 2015 Designer Support Program.

It's the second year that the program has ran, with a range of new initiatives to the program.

This year will include a more personal business-to-business mentoring aspect, that will aim to allow brands the opportunity to reap the benefits of Scentre Group's retail experience and expertise.

As part of the program, Westfield will sponsor each of the designer's shows at the upcoming Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA).

Additionally, all three will be given the opportunity to feature their collections at concept store InHabit, located at Westfield Doncaster throughout the year.

Scentre Group director of leasing, Peter Weslie, believes the initiative will help the growth of Australian designers.

"We are incredibly excited to be working with some of Australia’s leading designers this year, including Ellery, Ginger & Smart and Bec & Bridge, to show our support of the Australian fashion industry.

"In an ever changing fashion retail landscape our aim is to assist these businesses, and others, in progressing to the next level.

"We do this by offering guidance and support through our mentorships, supporting media and consumer facing activity at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and providing access to retail space via InHabit at Westfield Doncaster.

It’s about creating new opportunities that provide a unique platform for Australian designers."
