Shopping centre giant Westfield has kicked off a national marketing campaign to promote its online shopping mall, staging a runway parade at Customs House in Sydney today (April 13).
The online shopping platform has enlisted over 130 retailers to its site, representing 3000 brands including Sportscraft, Saba, Leona Edmiston, Quiksilver, Sass and Bide, Ksubi, Ellery, RM Williams and Ben Sherman.
Westfield director of business development Michelle Vanzella said westfield.com.au has more than doubled in retailers since its launch in November 2010. Consumers can search for items by store, category, brand, price or product name with results sorted by size, colour or recent additions.
Shoppers can also compare by product prices, specifications, shipping costs and return policies, Vanzella said.
"The site also now offers a 'search by on-sale' section which regularly carries nearly 10,000 products on sale every day. And as part of opening specials, every single store on the site will offer free shipping for a limited time."
The company's marketing campaign has been given the tagline 'Unlimited Fashion, One Checkout' to promote its functionality as a 24 hour, seven days a week operation. Advertising spend has been invested exclusively online, comprising of banner ads and online video broadcasts featuring UK stylist Gok Wan.
The PR-driven launch fashion parade featured 100 models and 70 brands.
