New Zealand department store chain The Warehouse Group has been hit with shock news.
The company confirmed today the sudden death of its group chief financial officer Stephen Small.
Commenting on the sombre announcement, The Warehouse Group board of directors expressed their condolences to Small's family.
“It is with the deepest sadness that the board of directors advises of the sudden death of Stephen Small, group chief financial officer of The Warehouse Group Limited earlier today.
“Stephen was a hugely respected member of our Executive team and it is a shock to us all at this time.
“Stephen will be greatly missed by our team. We send our deepest sympathies to his wife Yoko and his family who are in the thoughts and prayers of the entire company.”
No comment has been made at this time on the appointment of a new group chief financial officer.
